I would just add 2 more that are usually forgotten:
- Engage with people. Social media was made for people to be social. The more you interact with your audience and other users, the more people will engage with you. If you’re passively waiting for people to find you and interact with you, people will get bored and they won’t stick around for long. I usually say that engaging is the number one rule in community building.
- Test and adjust, constantly. Every week or so, review the content that you posted. Try to see which kind of content performed best. Try to identify which day was the most efficient. Try to identify at what time your followers interact the most with your content. Then, focus on what worked, and give up entirely on what didn’t give you the best results. Don’t try to make something happen if it’s only appealing to you and not your audience. Social media is made for you to give value to your audience, it’s not here to please your ego.
